The police have launched the probe against the culprits accused of killing a pregnant elephant.

The animal died standing in water, wanted relief from pain. The elephant originally belongings to Silent Valley National Park (SVNP) Palakkad district, breathed her last standing at Velliyar river in Mallipuram on May 27. She had ventured out in search of food.
She did not harm anyone, even after being in pain. She didn't harm a single human being when she ran in searing pain on the streets of the village. She didn't crush a single house in the village.
She was trusting everyone. When firecrackers exploded in her mouth, she was shocked and in fear of her child she was going to give birth.
